OReGO, ODOT’s Road Usage Charge (RUC) Program, was created by Senate Bill 810, and authorizes the Oregon Department of Transportation to assess a per-mile charge for volunteer drivers. The OReGO program started in July 1, 2015. Here are the current details:

• Starting January 1st, 2024, the road usage charge is set at 2 cents per mile.
• The types of vehicles in the program are limited to those classified as passenger vehicles.
• Credits for state fuel tax are applied as fuel is used to drive taxable miles. However, it is a non-refundable credit.
